Microsoft 365 management and modern workplace
Intune, Defender, Purview and Entra ID configured and actively managed — plus migration, licensing review and tenant administration.
Most businesses are paying for considerably more Microsoft 365 security capability than they have turned on. Conditional access, device compliance, data loss prevention, retention, alerting — much of it is already inside the licence, sitting at its default settings, doing very little.
We are a Microsoft Partner and we work inside the stack you are already buying: Entra ID for identity and conditional access, Intune for device management and compliance, Defender for threat protection, and Purview where data classification and DLP are needed. That is usually a better answer than adding another product with another agent and another invoice.
It also means licensing gets looked at honestly. Sometimes the right advice is to step up a tier because the capability you need is included there. Sometimes it is that you are paying for licences nobody is using. We will tell you either way — we do not earn more by recommending the more expensive answer.
What's included
What microsoft 365 covers
Tenant migration and setup
Moves from on-premises Exchange, another provider, or a tenant merge after an acquisition.
Entra ID and conditional access
Identity configured properly — MFA enforced, access conditioned on device and location, legacy authentication closed.
Intune and Autopilot
Devices enrolled, policy-managed and compliance-checked. New laptops that configure themselves out of the box.
Microsoft Defender
Configured, tuned and monitored rather than left at defaults.
Purview and data loss prevention
Classification and DLP where you have data that genuinely needs controlling.
SharePoint, Teams and Exchange Online
Structured so permissions are intelligible and sharing does not quietly leak.
Licensing review
What you hold, what you use, and what the right mix actually is.
Ongoing tenant administration
Someone accountable for the tenant, keeping pace with changes Microsoft makes to it.
This is probably for you if
- MFA is enabled for some accounts but not enforced for all
- Devices are not enrolled in any management platform
- SharePoint permissions have grown organically and nobody fully understands them
- You are on Business Premium but using very little of what it includes
- Nobody is accountable for the tenant when Microsoft changes something

Microsoft 365 support for North West businesses
We support Microsoft 365 environments for businesses across St Helens, Liverpool, Warrington and Merseyside. Tenant work is entirely remote, so location makes no difference to the administration itself.
Where being local counts is migration. Moving a business to Microsoft 365, or between tenants, is the point at which staff most need somebody in the building on the first morning — and cutover weekends go considerably better when the person who planned it can be on site if something needs a hand.
Common questions
Yes. Microsoft operates a shared responsibility model: they are responsible for the availability of the service, you are responsible for your data within it. Retention periods are finite, and they will not help you with a deletion discovered three months later, ransomware that encrypted synced files, or a departed employee’s mailbox purged after their licence was removed. Cloud replication is not backup.
Business Standard covers the productivity applications and services. Business Premium adds the security and device management layer — Intune, Entra ID Plan 1 with conditional access, Defender for Office 365 and Defender for Business, and information protection. For most SMBs taking security seriously, Premium is materially better value than Standard plus separately purchased security tools.
Yes. We handle migrations from on-premises Exchange, from other cloud providers, and tenant-to-tenant moves. Migration is planned around your working week, with mail flow, permissions and shared mailboxes checked before cutover rather than discovered afterwards.
Yes, MJM Technology is enrolled in the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. We do not currently hold specialist Solutions Partner designations, and we would rather state that plainly than let a badge imply more than it should.
Yes. Licence review is part of the service and we have no commercial reason to keep you on more than you need. Unused licences and duplicated capability are among the easiest savings available in most SMB tenants.
