Managed IT support for small and mid-sized businesses
Remote helpdesk and on-site support, proactive monitoring, patching, procurement and starters-and-leavers — run properly rather than reactively.
Managed IT support is judged on two things: how quickly someone competent picks up the phone, and how many problems never reach the phone in the first place. The second is where the value actually sits, and it is the part that is invisible when it is working.
We handle the everyday layer — helpdesk, devices, patching, licences, procurement, people joining and leaving — with monitoring underneath it so that failing disks, filling drives and lapsed backups get dealt with as maintenance rather than as emergencies.
What is different here is what is bundled in. Security is not a premium add-on we upsell after an incident; the security posture of the environment we support is part of supporting it. That comes from leading with security rather than treating it as a separate product line.
What's included
What managed it support covers
Remote helpdesk
Day-to-day support for your users, with issues tracked properly rather than lost in an inbox.
On-site support
For the things that genuinely need somebody there — hardware, network faults, new starters on their first morning.
Proactive monitoring
Disks, backups, patch state and device health watched so problems surface before they stop work.
Patch management
Operating system and application updates managed on a schedule and reported on.
Hardware procurement and lifecycle
Specified, sourced, built and enrolled — and tracked so replacement is planned rather than reactive.
Starters and leavers
Accounts created and revoked the same day, with an audit trail. The leaver half is where most businesses are exposed.
Licence management
What you are paying for, who is using it, and what can be dropped.
Documentation
How your environment is put together, written down and kept current, so you are not dependent on anyone else’s memory.
This is probably for you if
- IT problems get fixed only after somebody complains
- Nobody is certain which devices are still in use, or by whom
- Leavers keep access for days or weeks after their last day
- You do not know what your Microsoft licences actually cost per user
- Your current provider is reactive, or you are supporting it all yourself alongside another job
Not sure? The free security assessment scores all four pillars in 10–15 minutes and tells you which of these actually apply.
IT support in St Helens, Merseyside and Liverpool
We are based in St Helens and work with businesses across Merseyside, Liverpool, Warrington, Wigan and the surrounding North West. Most of our clients are between 10 and 25 users, in manufacturing, engineering, professional services and accountancy — big enough that IT failure costs real money, small enough that an internal IT team is not justifiable.
Most support is delivered remotely, because that is genuinely faster for the majority of issues. But being a short drive from Liverpool and Warrington means on-site is a normal part of the service rather than an exception with a mileage charge attached — which matters on the days when remote is not going to cut it.
Common questions
Response targets are agreed with you and written into your service agreement, prioritised by business impact — a whole team unable to work is not the same as one person with a printer problem. We would rather agree targets we can consistently meet than publish a headline number that only applies to some tickets.
Managed IT support starts from £35 per user per month excluding VAT. Final pricing depends on user and device counts, the number of sites, and what is in scope — the quote builder on our pricing page produces a tailored figure.
Our agreements are monthly with no long minimum term. If the service is not working for you, you give notice and we hand over cleanly, including documentation. We would rather keep clients because the service is good than because they are locked in.
Both. The majority of issues resolve faster remotely. On-site is included for the work that needs it — hardware, network faults, installations, and occasions where being in the room is simply the right call.
Yes. Transitions are routine: we document what exists, identify what needs correcting, agree a cutover, and take over administrative control in an orderly way. The awkward part is usually recovering administrative access from an outgoing provider, and we manage that process for you.
